Q's remain (WGBH Podcast about Merrimack Valley Fires)

Figure 1:  SUMMARY of All Identified Issues
I find each step of this 6-step path to be a little hard to believe.

[9/14: SEE UPDATE BELOW!]

To: Sean Corcoran, WGBH News

Hi Sean,

I was contacted by your colleague Sam Brewer about promoting your podcast. I appreciate the contact from WGBH!

I have been trying for 9 months to get the attention of anyone: regulators, legislators, Mass AG, and especially journalists.

I have logged 1,000+ hours of research into this.
(Arguably, it could be more like 3,000 hours)

If absolutely nobody follows up on the questions i have raised, then I feel like much of the last year of my life would be wasted / have no value.  But NO ONE can say I have not tried to get this information into the public consciousness!

So I made this just for you, Sean.

I hope you can find time to watch it.
Hopefully, you can do something with this information.

My essential questions about the Official Story:

Single Regulator Theory:

  • Explain in detail how a single failed regular could have overcharged est. ~200-300 linear miles of low pressure service lines designed to transport 0.5 psi, covering an area of 15-30 sq miles, nearly instantaneously. (This does NOT seem POSSIBLE to me)

  • Show maps demonstrating that the service lines and low pressure network covering the entire affected area forms a single manifold. (IMHO, this is extremely unlikely)

--OR--

  • Describe the scientific principle which allowed the pressure surge to jump from the segment attached to the failed regulator to other segments, which were isolated by at least 2 regulators and the 75 psi distribution main. (Maxwell's Demon?)

In other words,

  • Describe why the fires were not confined to the low pressure segment attached to the failed regulator.

Missing SCADA alarm:

  • Why is NTSB silent on the High Flow Rate SCADA alarm at the Methuen Citygate?

The presence of this alarm would help confirm the NTSB theory.

However the ABSENCE of this alarm would indicate the source of the pressure surge was NOT the Methuen Citygate, and refute the NTSB theory. (I suspect the source was an Ultra-High-Pressure CNG Tube Trailer)

Ultra-High-Pressure CNG Tube-Trailers

  • Were Ultra-High-Pressure CNG Tube-Trailers, like the ones made by Hexagon Lincoln, and Quantum Fuel Systems, & utilized by LDCs like NYSEG, ConEd, Liberty Utilities, and National Grid, which are capable of producing Cryogenic Temperatures when discharging, in use as pressure boosters by Columbia Gas during the scheduled maintenance on 9/13/2018 when the catastrophe happened?

Subject: New Podcast about Merrimack Valley Fires

Hey William,

I know you've followed this story closely so wanted to give you a heads up that today WGBH News has released a new podcast called "Fire in the Valley" about the Merrimack Valley explosions that took place last September. I've got a description of the podcast below. Would you consider letting your Twitter audience know about the story?

All the best,

Sam
